Rev. Joshua and Caterina Siu moved to Tamale in the Northern Region after their ministry in Accra, where they established a Computer and Vocational Institute. They were also involved in planting Churches and ministering the gospel of Jesus Christ through literacy in Frafra language. Many lives were touched and transformed through their work.
In Tamale, they started the Computer program in May 2004, leading to a non-academic professional Diploma in Computer Studies. Through this program, they sought to empower young adults of our society with skills in the area of computing, giving them an opportunity to be employed in both Government or public and private sectors. Others found themselves setting up their own businesses.
Fundamental to this project are, academic excellence, skills for life, character development and discipling people. Some of the people who worked as a team at the New Life College from the beginnings include: Baatuomu Christian, Asase Joseph, Prosper Agbeli, Pastor Timothy etc.
In March 2011 the Institution started the process of accreditation, which required affiliation to a mentor University. By September, 2012 New Life College, then EVANGELICAL CHURCH OF GHANA COMPUTER AND BUSINESS COLLEGE (ECGCB) became the first Institution to attain affiliation to University for Development Studies (UDS).
New Life College finally got institutional accreditation on the 1st of December, 2016 and also the programme accreditation on 15th December, 2016. Even though the programme accreditation took time with so many processes, it was of benefit to the College. Students were awarded a recognized Diploma in Computer Science and did not only acquire skills for the job market, but also enabled them to pursue further academic studies in the field.
With increasing enrolment of students for the Diploma in Computer Science, the College has held her sixth very successful Congregation and matriculation in December 2019. A Registered Midwifery Program is being introduced in 2020. The College has a staff strength of twelve (12), and a student population of two hundred and eighty (280). Efforts are being made to improve on the faculty strength for the introduction of other programs.
Our philosophy is to provide students with the opportunity to earn a college degree is our core goal.
There are three elements that we believe are conducive to establishing such an environment:

2. Allowing the Students natural curiosity to direct their learning, and
3. Promoting respect for all things and all people.
